    Powerflex bush upate.

As I said last week, the bolts on my front wishbone were larger than the hole down the Powerflex insert. So I used M12 bolts as a temporary measure.
Last night I removed the inserts (makes handling rather interesting that!).
I phoned up Vaux and they said that the bolts are M14x 150mm long.
This morning I drilled the inserts out to 14mm. It was quite an adventure. I bought a 13mm and 14mm drill. I drove to work. I couldn't get into the building because I've lost my ID card. I was going to give up, but I decided to try all the doors. Luck was in, I managed to get in through an unlocked door.
It then took me about 1.5 hours to drill two holes. That's because I cocked the first one up - the insert wasn't being held straight in the vice. I sorted that on the 2nd one by using a spirit level to straighten everything up by packing shims under the vice.

Anyway, I'm about to fit the little bastids, hopefully it'll sort the problem with not quite right handling.

very interesting problem really. Either you have the wrong inserts or your car had the wrong bolts, maybe 16v ones, i dont know just guessing.

Weeeeellllll another "interesting" point is that the hole in the lower strut brace is also meant for M12 bolts.
But Vauxhall didn't ask me what model it was or anything, they just said they're M14.

Either way, I'm putting it all together this afternoon.

Dunno, just be nice if things were simpler sometimes.
