1st i have a little dent in my sump cover is is worth knocking out / replacing doesent seem to cause prob oil pressure fine etc

2nd engine management light is flashing on breifly every so often is it serious ?? no probs with car drives sweet, obviously impossible to know without running diags but just wondered if theses cars are prone to red herrings or if its only serious if light stays on??
could be tricky to run a test as it doesent do it when the car is stationary (suspect dodgy connection)

sump cover? as in the plastic under tray?
if you have a dent in the sump itself and it's not cracked then don't worry about it..


as for the ecu light, i had this when the map sensor connection was loose, so everytime i booted it, the engine would move back on the mounts and the connection would break, ease off and it be o.k...

yeah it on the aatual sump, ill check all connections i think
