    Unhappy Pulling (no not THAT)

    Hello chaps.
Me Astra's really trying to upset me. Since I've had it, its pulled to the left. I completely rebuilt the suspension struts (properly!) and I've had the tracking adjusted. Still it pulls.

Happens pretty much all the time - on throttle, off throttle, going fast, going slow.
It just means that I constantly have to hold it right & I'm sure its scrubbing the tyres. Someone suggested a bent lower arm but I can't see any creases/bends in it.
There is no play at any wheel, neither are the brakes binding. It's not had a big knock at the front as far as I can tell. It doesn't 'crab' according to a mate that followed me.

    Any idea's???

Do you know the history of the car? Could be a bit more major than tracking etc...

it can also be caused by uneven road surface, most roads are crowned to allow water to run off and this can affect handling, also binding brakes could cause it to pull left

Get your motor to an outfit capable of 4 wheel laser alignment and have it fully checked. The check is capable of castor, camber, track and front to rear wheel/axle alignment. Go somewhere recommended and make sure it's not a spanner chimp doing the work. I khow the tech at Carscan and trust him.

If corrections are made, you my need to change your tyres before the pulling dissapears.

swap the front tyres over left to right and visa versa.

I would only trust Elite in Rainham, Essex to sort the tracking etc. on a motor.. they got the 4-wheel thingy.
Costs a bit but you know it's right.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. It's not the CV's - I replaced the driveshafts last month. I'll try swopping the wheels around and see if it makes any difference!!

Awww nuts - hope its not had a major knock.

I shall report back when I fix it!

    Yes, I WILL SORT IT!!!!!!!!!!
