    ATE brake caliper help!!

hi, i just bought a set of brake calipers from ebay and now i'm not really sure what car they came from?

they are going to be fitted to my mk1 golf gti but they require the correct vauxhall brake pads!

the calipers have ATE stamped into them and also what i think reads FN52/24L and FN52/24R on them.

any ideas would be quality thanks!!

they look like your average 256mm astra gte16v caliper (cav gsi, calibra 16v)

24 is probably the disk thickness, L and R are the sides of the car

I recently got a pair of ATE calipers too.

The ones I got were off a Astra GSI XE. All these ATE calipers look to be the same on the
8v & 16v Cavs and on the 2 litre Astras.

Dunno if they are all the same. These Vaux varients must be using the same disks and pads.

Only vaux would know fo' sure

8v ones use 20mm discs and smaller pads if I remember correctly.
