    electric sunroof into corsa

i realise this has been asked before but ive been reading through and cant really find a definate answer

electric sunroof into corsa - do i just remove the winder and slot in the mechanism+wire it? i does the roof lining need cutting? will the screw holes match up?
    which will go straight in?

    carlton?
    cav?
    vectra?
omega mk1? (i believe wiring is more complex with speed sensors etc?)

total closure dont matter i dont have it. one touch nice but not necessary, any ideas? thanks

There was a Nova guide yesterday.

Shouldnt be much different, but as with all these things, someone must've done it first & done the homework.
    it's a C20XE not a fookin Redtop FFS

ok cheers so if i get one off a cav cdx, gsi or gls i just unscrew the manual winder and screw the electric mechanism to the roof, connect to the interior light power and its done?

also, when closing the roof eg say if i had it open at tilt then i held the button until it closed does it automatically stop when its shut (like when you're winding it and the winder clicks and stops) or does it keep going and you have to keep tapping it to get it right?
just wondering if the motor sensed the resistance and stopped or something, since its going into a car it was designed for? if this is the case may consider an omega mechanism with the button that does it for you?

    cheers

based on my experience of fitting one (into a Mk2 Astra in fairness) I'd imagine the headlininng will need cut. You'll need all the trim and surrround from the Cavalier and you may have to cut that. make sure you get the screws too, they are different to the mechanical mechs screws. Power from the interior light yes and also dont forget to earth the motor mate

yes it auto stops when it shuts.

straight swap no cutting needed. and yes the sunroof does stop automatically what i done was before i removed the manual winder i put it to tilt then removed the winder, wired it up then before attaching the electric winder push the button for tilt a couple to times just to make sure that the winder is in the same place as the sunroof so that it automatically stops in the right place hope this makes sense
