Vectra Estate, Towbar wiring...

Hi all,

Quick question for anyone who may be able to help.
I'm looking to fit a towbar to my 05 plate Vectra Estate (1.8) and i'm unsure of whether or not I will require a computer 'hook-up' to let the computer know that there has been a new wiring system been added to the car OR if it's just a case of 'plug & play'??

I heard that by changing the electrics on the newer vauxhalls may cause the car not to start up and I'm trying to get as much info. on it prior to starting the job.

You will need to buy the wiring kit from Vauxhall as its another ecu for the tow bar electrics and the car will need re-programming so it knows its got tow bar electrics fitted and i know this as im an ex Vauxhall technician and ive fitted lots of towbars to Vectra C's!!
