Does anyone know what power/earths go to the power steering pump??

During my Xe converion we appear to have lost teh famale connector to the pump.

Is it a case of ignition live and earth?? or does it require a signal form an ECu?

Any help much appreciated as my shoulders are starting to ache now

oh yeah and its a T reg astra van (was 1.7 8v td)
    cheers guys.
