Question Astra G How to test wheel sensors?

    Hi all,

Basically I have KW coilovers fitted to my Astra Coupe Turbo a few weeks ago.
And since then (immediately), the TC and ABS lights are on.

I have checked the wheel sensor connectors and they seem to be secured. I then plugged in my fault code reader, and it read "C0040", which I believe is Right Front wheel sensor. I do not believe the sensor is faulty, I think it must be a connection somewhere. I have also disconnected battery but the fault code stays.

So does anyone know how to test a wheel sensor on the Astra G?

On the Agila... I could just jack the car up, spin the wheels with my hand, then plug my multimeter into a connector in the engine bay to read the voltage. But on the Astra G the sensor is integrated into the hub...

By the way, do TC and ABS still work in this situation?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

Basically I know which sensor is it coming from (i.e. Front Right), but I just need to know whether it is
    - the actual sensor
    - the connector on the sensor
    - the connector on the ABS unit
    - the ABS unit itself
    - the ECU unit
    - some wires somewhere inbetween
    -etc
    is at fault.

    Thanks.

you can connect an oscilloscope to the sensor and spin the wheel to see if you are getting a good signal.
