    Window motors

    Got a 94 Astra Cesaro, one window has stopped working. If I get a motor on E-Bay will I only be able to get an Astra one or will anything else fit straight in???

    Chances are the motors are fine, they are very hardy beasts. More likely the solder on the circuit board has gone dry and cracked. These can be removed and you can slide another one in.

    Have you checked that the switch pack hasn't broken down? Check the wiring going into the door to ensure there are no broken wires.

    And to answer your question, only Astra MK3 mechanisms and motors will fit, Cavalier is too long, shame as I broke an Astra Sport last week you could have had a motor/mech from that for a fiver
