Speedo cable into 6 speed box

does anybody know where the speedo cable fits into the calibra 6 speed box?

the cable wasn't fitted when I bought the car and I can't seem to find anywhere for it to go

any help greatly appreciated as i'm going away soon and could really do with a working speedo!

not all 6 speed gearboxes have a place for a speedo cable, if it has it should be round the back near gear linkage, over the diff, same as other vauxhall gearboxes

You can drill it to fit the speedo gear.

Or easiest way is to source a Cavalier Turbo 6 speed box, which is speedo drive driven not ABS speed detection.
Unless you know what you are doing, you are going to have to strip the box, otherwise you are gonna have a load of swarf in the box which aint gonna do it much good.

Other way is to keep the box and change the clocks to electronic ones and wire up the ABS speed sensor wire from the ABS (blue/red) to the same colour wire on the back of the clocks that eventually goes to the fuel computer.
