i have a redtop engnine in another car. i have wired a new alternator in and it seems to work. the ignition light goes out, there is 13.9v at the battery. after 5 minutes of idling the ignition light comes on warning of not charging. it doesn't go out if i rev the engine. if i put a meter over the battery it still reads 13-14volts though, any ideas.
