Anti rattle pins for rear brake pads

Is there a way of getting these in without taking the caliper off etc?

The pads rattle like hell over bumps and its seriously doing my head in. 99% sure I have the little curly things, just need them in. The car is going into the garage on Monday anyway so would it be easier just to get them to do it?

I take it these are different to the old cav disc/drum combo, or you wouldn't be asking? 2 minute job.
I had some that were rattling, tried everything you could think of. Was the handbrake adjuster on the beam lmao

AFAIK, they are different to the cav's.

They rattle over bumps but it stops when I press the brakes. Wheel off and jam the fecker in?

Be nice to see a pic of the set-up, never worked on them. Can't see why they had to change them, maybe it was too quick and easy to change the pads, so had to over-complicate it?
Either way, caliper's just 2 bolts, or have they messed about with that too? lmao
Sorry for the lack of help

no.... I am sorry for the lack of info! I just assumed a mk4 expert would reply!! lmao

the hand brake cable comes up from the bottom and hooks over a V style holder. there is one bolt at the top of the caliper and its hinged on the bottom. Caliper wont come off without the handbrake cable being off and thats where I got stuck last time.

The AstraG (and VecC) calipers have a mechansim on that operates the brake caliper with the handbrake cable.

Take them off and have a loook.

    it's only 2 bolts.

be careful with the brake pipe.

You can back off the handbrake cable in the car IIRC.

how do I back off the cable? The garage who fitted the brakes I supplied are doing the mot on Monday so I might just get them to fit them. I was hoping for a 'quick fix'
