    brake imbalance

Just had the corsa in for its mot, failed on the rear brakes. Guy said 53% on rear wheel breaking dont know whether that means it only has 53% out of a higher percentage. or if its an inbalance betten each rear wheel or imbalace between front and rear?? Any ideas?

inbalance on the rear is side to side usually

probably means one sides got leaking oil seal or fluid or is just done but ur gonna have to take them apart to find out

It'll be an inbalance between tthe rears, ime it'll just require readjusting, providing ofcourse the rear brakes are in good condition.

Gotta strip each side down, see if there is anything leaking. If so, replace both sides...
If not, give the drums a good rub down, a really good rub, with the roughest sandpaper you can find! Then something a bit finer for the shoes...

Well, same happened with my old clio, had a rear brake imbalance, checked nothing was seized, gave the shoes a light rub to get rid off the top layer of sh*te, and took a grinder to the lip of the drum lmao
Then just rubbed sh*t out of the drum, threw it all back together and it passed! lmao
