Vectra gauge Wiring, help needed please

98' Vectra 1.6 8v. i've got oil pressure gauge and volt meter. How do i wire them in? Where do i pick up the feeds from for Voltmeter? and do i take an oil pressure feed from?

you can take the voltage from the battery...

And the oil pressure from the exsiting oil pressure switch.. its down the back of the oil filter, its got 1 wire going to it.. best to put in a 'T' piece and have both oil pressure guage and warning light though..

will that not mean it is on all the time???

use an ignition feed from your radio or something, thats what ive done on my cavy

No it wont...

only when its earth will the oil light come on..
Disconnecting that wire is like cutting the circuit for the oil light.. It wont light at all, not even when you switch the ign on in the morning
