Cool Gsi V6 Problems

HELP??
IVE GOT 2.5 GSI AND HAVE A PROBLEM THAT OCCURS AT AROUND 80mph and it sounds like a rumbling from front wheels so first a checked wheel balance not that! then changed cv's both sides in and out still not fixed!
and finally changed wheel bearings but the problem still there!

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY ADVISE before i loose the rag!! :

have you got aftermarket wheels like tsw/wolfrace etc?

v6 problems

no mate standard gsi wheels thought it might be wheels not round but swaped front to back and problem still there!
thought it might be gearbox related but gearbox was in previous vectra with now problems . only changed gearboxes couple months ago! doin ma head in!!

checked your tracking? could be a driveshaft problem to the gearbox

put the spacer on between the hub and hub nut?

Yeah have you got spiggot rings fitted to ya alloys, without these holding the wheel tight to the hub the wheel is likely to flex, have you notice any uneven tyre wear

why would he need spiggot rings if he's got standard GSi alloys....

v6 problem

ROSH I have tried changing the o/s driveshaft small and large and also tried replacing the mid bearing between the two shafts, the only shaft i havent tried changing is th n/s one ?

v6 problems

yeh rosh the rear of the car was damaged but no damage to front dont think this would put front end out ? I am getting to the stage that i will have a look at ever possible cause ,

have you tried getting upto just above when the noise starts and dipping the clutch and knocking it into neutral ?

v6 problems

i have tryed dipping the clutch at speed but the noise still persists ! wondering if it could be drive shaft bent on n/s? as changed the shafts on o/s along with cv's. subframe being out of line or bent shouldnt cause knocking noise at speed i wouldn't of thought ,I will have it checked out anyway .

i have seen this a couple of tomes before but turned out to be simple things like loose subframe bolts, wishbone bushes, tracking, even seen it happen with strut top worn
