    resetting ecu on 2001 astra

i drilled the airbox over the weekend and removed a black box that is inline with the air pipe. do you think it would be a good idea to reset the ecu now and if so how do i do it.

Will 10 minutes be enuff? I dunno but was told at least half an hour... but then again we were talking airbag steering wheel removal as well
Note: the above may or may not be entirely correct.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, and then it struck me.

It depends on the ECU. if its a later type then there is no other way to reset them other than with Tech2. To clear faults on these, the ECU must see something like 28 (I forget exactly) good starts.
