Astra starting problems
Hi,
been having starting problems with my astra 1992, it will start fine first thing in the morning but after a 20 min journey and a 10min stop, it wont start again for about half an hour. The AA have been out twice and have deduced its an overheating problem, but are unable to help further.
When it wont start, the alternator spins but there is no spark to the spark plugs, this is rectified when the car has had time to cool down.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any idea what would be overheating?
The Ignition amplifier is brand new by the way.
Any help would be great, im going out of my mind!!!!

Fuel pump relay is worth a try, as some had a bad pathway exposed by heat.

yeah possibly fuel relay, does the ecu light on the dash allways come on with the ign b4 starting?

had same problem with the fuel relay on my calibra, its located in the drivers foot well on the calibra,so what i did before i got a new one was take off the kick plate so i could see the relay and when turning the engine over keep tapping the relay with a spanner or end of a screw driver, and it should start after a min,if it does work its defo the relay,
hope this helps
