    Simtec70 ECU heat fault

Wonder if anyone has/had the same problem with Simtec70 ECU on 1998 onwards Astra G X18XE1 engine?

After engine warms up the ECU light comes on with code 0201 (believe Injector 1 code) then runs like on 3 cylinders. (swapped injectors and always 0201)
When engine cools it is then OK but still has the stored code.
Cold engine plus pre-heated ECU to 70 deg c (over!) = instant fault.
Hot engine with fault plus freezer cooled ECU (approx 10 mins) = instant clear.
Moved ECU from block and goes forever as long as you don't stop when the heat rises and eventually faults.

Can't find any fault code info on Simtec 70 in usual places - any help appreciated.

Can anyone confirm this ECU resets it's learnt map (not codes) with power off for say 1hour?

    Cheers,

    Pete

MarkT -- Thanks for the listing - very much appreciated. They seem to have doubled up the high's and lows faults in this version!

Aragorn -- My thoughts exactly and sent it away via Fuel Parts to get it tested and they didn't heat it up enough and it passed all tests as I know it did when cool!!

Having opened up the ECU it is all covered in jelly goo and thin film gold wire weld technology. Despite being in electronics I had to give up!

    Cheers both..

    That's TIS for you.

    1 Could means several things.

You need a Tech2 to read them anyway, and that gives more info.
