| advice on rotor thickness ive been offered some bells and rotors to go with my brembos i got a while back. the brembo will take up to 30mm thick discs, would it be ok to use 22mm discs with them, as ive been offered some smart hi-spec bells and rotors but they are from a big discs kit which uses standard calipers, my worry is they are too narrow and will cause braking problems/be unsafe, any gen would be cool cheers guys |

| Re: advice on rotor thickness Vaux standard vented are 24mm, minimum thickness 21mm.
You need to check with the manufacturer what the minimum thickness is, if it's not stamped on the disc rim.

| Re: advice on rotor thickness as long as they are bigger than 22mm they'll be fine, no less though, or the pistons copuld pop out when the pads are worn right down, changine them at about 3/4 of the way through the pad negates this though obviously

| Re: advice on rotor thickness cool, might have them then, should look good, they have anodised gold bells, think the rotors are near enough new anyway, but 22mm thick sounded quuite thin for front rotors?, probably becuse they are from a big disc kit that uses standard calipers? |
