Question Somebody confirm wot these wires and plugs do please

Its a nova gte E16SE engine wiring loom, And i Have these wires to connect up:

Red/blue = Fuel pump(wot about it???)
Blue = water temperature
Green = Rev counter
Brown/white = ECU light
Big Red = Permanent 12v+
Black = Switched 12v+

I Looked in the wiring diagrams for theses wires but i'm not sure whether i have got them right or not, just wanted someone to Check em for me really

And there is one plug on the GTE engine loom that i don't know where its supposed to go. Its a big plug about an 1" & half long, And it comes off the loom at the same place as the Fuel relay and the Ron plug, so it must be close to there on the nova. The wires that are on it are:

Brown/white, Red, Brown/yellow, and brown.

Anyone know ot this is supposed to plug into coz i haven't got a clue

Thanks

DAN

colours sound good excert the ecu light which is usually brown/blue.

The plug you talk of sounds like the diagnostic plug

Well, this big connector might be where the wires enter the cabin?
Brown/ white is usually the injection light, but can also be the reverse lights (one side, other side to ground).
Brown/ yellow is the one you ground to flash out the ECU fault codes.
ALL red wires are 12V from battery and ALL browns are ground.

all the wires and colours youve listed are correct. Do you have a fuel pump relay on the loom? The red/blue is for the fuel pump positive, you have to connect it through a fuse aswell.

The plug you describe is the diagnostic plug, this is for reading fault codes, short pins A + B to make the ecu light flash out the codes.

AS above,give me a shout when its going in and ill come down and help you put it in and sort the wiring,ill solder and heat shrink it for you as i cut the plug off as i wanted it for on my c20xe loom to make a nice job,thats why you just have bare wires.
What engine is it replacing,was it injection and has it got an electric fuel pump allready?

You say all the wires are correct, wot about the brown/white? Andy K said its usually brown/blue???

And the fuel pump wire, i know its something to do with the fuel pump but wot?? is it just a switched live?

Yeah my car is already an injection but its a single point. It has already got an electric fuel pump in the tank. I will have to get a multi point fuel pump.

I will try and get some pics up of the plug, it looks like it has been used though, not like its been taped up out of the way kinda thing.

Cheers guys

Yes, connect the blue/ red to the +ve side of the fuel pump, via a 20A fuse.

The plug looks used because it used to have a blanking plug init to keep water out as its under the bonnet.
