Angry WARNING: Lord Greville aka Chris Greville

Lord Greville, Lord Fulke-Greville, Chris Greville are just a few of the names he uses.
I am writing this to warn any other Vauxhall fans who may be unfortunate to have dealings with this guy. I will tell you my story in the hope that no one else the same experience dealing with him I did.
I live in New Zealand and I am building a Tigra Grp A maxi rally car. There are not many parts in NZ so I buy a lot of net in UK and most transactions have gone without any problem. A year ago I was looking for a Quaife gearbox and diff, Mr greville advertise a full Quaife sccr gearbox a long with a gear change and bronze turret. I contacted him and after many emails and phone calls I purchased the lot for 2000ukp. Mr Greville took payment and offered to box it up for shipping. I arranged shipping to NZ and 8 weeks later it arrived. I opened the case and it all looked to be there BUT something did not look right with gearbox, it was not the one in the pictures on advert and the ones he sent me. I opened the gearbox up to find it was a bog standard F20 and the only thing Quaife was the bronze turret. The gear lever and shaft was nice but I could have bought a quaife unit new for a 1/3 of the price I had paid. Well that pretty much stalled the project as I do not have money to buy another gearbox. My day will come I will be back in UK soon and I will pay him a visit and have it out face to face or maybe F20 to face. Anyway you have been warned and if you want to know more google him- not a nice guy.

I actually met him years ago at Brighton Speed Trials. Must have been earlish 2000's. He was sprinting his Astra GSi in the event - which was actually pretty quick.

My friend and I spoke to him and I even talked about buying some throttle body parts off him. Seems like luckily I didn't.

Had his mobile number in my phone up until a few years ago, although probably long ago he changed it.

I feel sorry for you tigra. Risky business buying blind. Doubly so when having stuff shipped overseas.

It just takes one c**t like this, to ruin the trust needed and put people off when dealing with genuine internet traders.

And with his articles in CCC, you'd be forgiven for thinking this guy could be trusted. Feel for the OP.

this guy is an utter jockey, I feel for you fella down there in NZ. he's been all over the telly a few years back, that was in between trips away at the no star hotel.
    He bought his title somehow
He had a susposedly ex Jeff Allam BTCC Cavalier which was basically a scrapyard shell with one bit of real touring car on it. the guts of which made it into the mk3 astra iirc.

    Lord scum.

I bought an all steel engine from this guy and I was pleased with it,in fact Chris said it was chucking out 252bhp and when we did a rolling road it was showing near 270bhp and I have the same engine in my car after three years of hard competition.
