Cool So where is the UK heading?

Any thoughts on what the UK will be like in 10 years?

Given that we live in a society of recession, multiculturalism, political correctness, compensation culture, health and safety culture.

Also bear in mind rising energy prices, a stupid focus on the South-east of England, depleted natural resources and increasing influence from the E.U.

Oh and a booming Muslim birth rate.

Any thoughts on what all of the above will lead to?

Re: So where is the UK heading?

In 10 years time if i am lucky i will be 68! on a meager state pension, that won't buy half a bog roll, with free bus travell now being discussed of, to be taken away, I will be forced by the health authorities out of my 3 bed house to go and live in a care home, or if I stay put in my own house, I will be forced to wear 3 jumpers and 3 pairs of wooly soaks, and tuck into an old sofa laden with blankets, wouldn't be able to affoard any heating, the nanny state will also try to unsucsessfully force me out of my 3 bed house to go into a one bed house so that more growing families with 2+ kids (mostly ethinic families with uncontrolled birth rate) (breeds like vermins) can be housed in my 3 bed house.

I will be bathing less often as the water will be sold per litre, and gas will be too expensive to heat the cold water, I will be looking out for item which are on their last sell by date to get bargains, will have to dodge muggers on every corner, I would have long forgotton what a thrilling car Calibra once was, there probably wouldn't be any on the roads then, there [probably will be a lot more electric cars, as more people stsrt to take on electric cars, the electricity prices go through the roof!

Britain will be scratching its anus, trying work out how to emerge out of this ****e hole it dropped itself in! Greece won't be part of EU along with many other current members, we would be going Greek too! jobless total will probably hit 5 million, inflation will be over 10%, cost of bread will be about £2.50 a loaf!

The future looks brilliant!! most of us would have left Britain long ago!

and with uncontrolled immigration, influx of millions of Bogus colleges inviting bogus students for lining their own ****in pockets without any regards to the welfare of this country in race relations, ****in greedy bastards, showing a picture of a British passport on their promotional leaflets, mother ****in *****, 90% bogus students with prime objective to settle here in UK, I doubt there will be any room left to bury me!

Its already a ****e hole and its only getting worst. 10 years time it`ll be so over populated it`ll bring our health service, schools, roads ect to they`re knees. Plus it`s going to cost so much just to get by with heating and food prices going through the roof. We`ve got no manafacturing left as its all being sold off and theres no jobs out there. The future is really bleak.
Im with Tathan it really is time to get out of this ****e hole.

Interesting infographic on the quality of life of EU countries - yes we fall last - BUT the margins aren't as great as one might think. Was also done last year before the € issues of recent months etc.

uSwitch Quality of Life Index | Quality of Life Infographic
Our happiness is not derived solely from schadenfreude and pathological misanthropy - 22% of people also listed 'meat'.

Re: So where is the UK heading?

Would you have mentioned it if they were all British?

    Back on topic:

If this shower of **** government are still in charge then in ten years time we'll be in a very bad place. I fully expect to see more industrial action in the next years or so and, sadly, more rioting as people have just had enough and things will only get worse.

Re: So where is the UK heading?

Probably not. Just makes it more hard to stomach thats all

Trouble is very few people have any values these days, its like anyone and anything is fair game.

If you are not a criminal then you are very much a victim and i put it down to the culture where the poor hate the rich and the rich hate the poor.

A divide which has been created by smart ass governments handing out benefits to the lazy and penalising hard workers.

Re: So where is the UK heading?

Makes me laugh that the government have no idea how bad it actually is, lots of people on here and I know IRL want to emigrate... however only the highly skilled can - see the obvious problem with this for our economy?

Yeah, but it's easier for Tathan. The land of milk and honey, God's finest hour, the promised land is just across the border for him. All he has to do is jump on the back of the nearest horse and cart, hide under the tarpaulin and he'll be in England before he knows it.

Life under Labour hasn't exactly proved to be all it was cracked up to be. I think Tony Blair got out at "just" the right time. He would have seen this coming. He's not stupid.

I don't think it matters who is in charge. Either way you look someone won't like what they are doing. I think Tony Blair got out at "just" the right time. He would have seen this coming. He's not stupid.

I'd still rather any of our muppets than some unelected suit from the IMF running things.

Re: So where is the UK heading?

Agreed, but at least under Labour more people had work and they weren't thrown onto the scrapheap just because the P.M wanted short term gain for long term pain.

Yeah but OTOH they ran the economy into the rocks. Again.

Conservatives **** people over deliberately, Labour through incompetence. Tathan explains politics in one easy soundbite.

Re: So where is the UK heading?

Labour are twats. Labour create the sh*t and leave anybody else to mop up their disasters.

Were Labour in power for a long period leading upto and including the financial crisis? Were they responsible for over-reliance on a 'booming' housing industry supported by an ever-increasing debt pile and LTV ratios of over 100%? The Conservatives sure ****ing weren't but have been left holding the baby despite some non-conservative dick breath claiming the end of a boom-bust cycle...

Sadly, the work-shy scrounging ****ers of this country can't be hit as hard as they deserve otherwise they will just get voted out next time around, it's a perpetual cycle.

Oh, gas will be substantially cheaper in a decades time. The daft greeny knob knockers moaning about shale-gas should remember that instead of filling peoples heads with crap because they are too ****ING DUMB to realise that 99.8% of a typical fracking fluid is water!?! Of that remaining 0.2% part of it is sand for Christs sake...

We aren't talking millions of cubic feet of gas here, or even billions, it's trillions of cubic feet and has the power to transform the economy in a fast amount of time. France will change their minds, you mark my words.
You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don't do too many things wrong.
