can do its not a good sight...lol

Im going to ask my mate who owns a small holding up the road, last week i picked up a Microbrewery quite cheap which will do about 500+ pint in one brew, the waste from the brew (hops ect) will feed his pigs and mine with any luck. Fingers crossed this will bring any rent price down.

quality man that does REALLY interest me!, me and the missus are looking to buy a house in the new year and i have requested a garage and garden for a little grow patch lol but having enough space for a brewery and pigs would be sweet is it not pretty time consuming??

pigs do not need a huge amount of space to live and eat loads of scraps and waste, the brew side is a business i have been looking at setting up for a few years since i started brewing myself, the kit was going cheap as the chap is setting up a large brew system (2000 pints plus) i have a few pubs local and a few across the uk that are interested in having a couple of barrels each month. so should be a good start, paperwork and HM Revenue are a sod to sort but thats part of the trade.

ah ok, yeah i didnt think pigs needed much in the way of being cattered for, what sort of price would 1 expect to pay for a home brew kit not a lot of beers like a starter kit, and whats the going rate ISH for pigglets?, ah i could imagine it would be a bloody pain will all the legal carry on etc

might have to venture down and try some beer and pigs in the future?

a normal home brew kit for say stout or bitter will be about £40 start up (brew barrel, bottles, ingrediance, caps & kit), after that its very cheap (about £8 for 40 pints)
i buy bulk malt and hops so it works out about £3 for 40 pints.
Pigglets are about £40-£50 a pop.

    Ohhhhh 10,000 post.

my post count hit 10,000 on the last one..lol

its very easy to do beer and stout (to be honest to brew anything) takes about 5 -7 days to brew and then when bottled another 7 days to 3 weeks to 'prime' then you can drink or store it for another few months to get even better.

pigglets take about 4 months to a year to fatten (only purchase pigglets older than 2 - 3 months old)

i think i am going to look for a home brew kit

i think a food/drink section would be pretty good along with a home improvement area to get tim allen in lol

why do they have to be 2/3 months old before purchase? i really need to stop asking questions a do a wee bit of research lol

My mate did something similar and stored it in plastic bottles - he got about 30 2 litre bottles of the stuff.
It was so potent, you couldn't actually open the bottle at all without it exploding as it was constantly fermenting. It was called 'Dick's Head' as his name was Richard.
One dog goes one way and the other goes the other.
And this guy's saying, "Whaddya want from me?"
