Firstly Paul - ratings will go up I think. Bernie now has 10 of the races right where he wants them - prime time on BBC1 early on a Sunday evening, a first for F1 unless the timezones meant a live broacast was prime time. If that doesnt boost ratings nothing will. Look at Canada and Brazil stats from this year.
Tath - F1 is still free to air, technically. 10 live races, and 10 extended highlights all on BBC - free to air. This is all that matter to Bernie/BBC/Sky. Concorde doesnt say anything about being live Free to air, which is what they are capitalising on.
Not happy about this at all.
And IIRC the concorde agreement is due for review end of 2012?? So could this spell the beginning of the end for F1 on free to air telly??
