    FAO: Imerscher crew

This is a public service announcement.

    It's not Em mur sha

It's not like an immersion heater. You should probably stick your head in one if you think it is.

    Look closely:

    IRMSCHER

    erm... sha

This pronunciation lesson is sponsored by myself, Ed and the Moderators (especially Paul)

Please print this thread out and stick to the windscreen of every chavved up Vauxhall you see. Especially 5dr Mk4 Astras with lexus lights and Ripspeed wheels.

    Thankyou

You really do see some frightening spellings of that word on eBay adverts.

    Well said, Nemesis.

'ur-missh er', 'umshire' 'i-mish-ur' etc are usually spelt like that by the cretinous ****ing mongs who type 'bumber' instead of 'bumper'.

Anyone else refuse to buy anything off people like that? To my mind if they can't spell key words properly then they're too ****ing lazy to go and look at the car (or check on the internet) so are obviously too ****ing lazy and stupid to have looked after their cars. Twats.

I wasn't aware of this problem, but am proud to be associated with such a campaign.

The "Renult" (Renault) gang also annoy me

If that were the case, I'd never buy off ebay. 'I brought this in 2008'. BYE.
I saw a car with a sticker in the back today that said 'If your going to get this close at least pull my hair'. Someone has been employed to write and print out that sticker. Can nobody spell?

    I know!

It's sign writers that always astound me; their sole job, day in day out, is to write text for hundreds/thousands to see (as is the whole point of a sign), you'd think they would/should be faultless with grammar, spelling, punctuation etc, but usually the opposite is true.

Granted, maybe they just print exactly what they are asked to by the customer, but you'd have thought they'd be able to spot a mistake and advice the customer, what with their years of experience (or just having gone to school and paid attention in English lessons).

    It's OK I won't judge.

When the Islamic revolution comes I will be STRAIGHT down to Croydon to re-enact Rourke's Drift with you against the darkies.

We are so down, I can overlook this.

Hey, occasional typos are inevitable and as such have to be allowed. Even with my helpful signature I've had for over a year, people still don't get it.

I can beat that and I'll grab a picture next time I see it: a van round the corner from me has the address of it's company in 'Ellesemere Port' on the door.

Our happiness is not derived solely from schadenfreude and pathological misanthropy - 22% of people also listed 'meat'.
