    Re: Thank you everyone

Hats off to you fella. I also have bad skin (eczema) which severely ****ed up my life for the best part of a decade.

Althought I have been a complete knob on here over the years this is a REALLY good site with a fantastic structure that will help anyone.

I can relate to what you are saying, although it is going back 10-15 years. I will not say what I make my money from now otherwise people may start crying on another forum but lets say that 4 years ago I didn't have a bean to scratch my arse with...

Anyone with the motivation to change their life deserves a pat on the back IMO!

Sounds like you were doing OK with the drinking, shagging but then you found Migweb!

Good story though, if you can make a little bit of a difference to your life it's worthwhile!

It's taking a lot of self restraint for me not to correct that post, but given the spirit of it, I'll let it be.

Well done mate, and shame the Army didn't pan out.

I also learnt a huge amount from this website, so owe a lot to it.

Ed and OHC both learnt how to bulk up via the Internet. Ed read body building forums and hit the gym, OHC read Hansel and Gretel then filled his face with cakes and short breads.

    Re: Thank you everyone

Nice to hear "only a forum" making such a positive impact on your life by inspiring you, although I agree with GTE Mk2 that any actual positive changes you have made are all your own work.

Its surprising how much you can learn just from cars as a hobby, my ex mrs did what is normally a 2 year mechanics course but started a month late and straight into the second year, so only had about 7 months in total, and she still got a distinction, just from all the knowledge she had picked up off me and my mates helping us with our cars and her own etc.

I worked as a college lecturer for 3 years, and one of the subjects I taught was "Motor Vehicle Workshop". I had no actual qualifications in the subject, just my knowledge and experience picked up from MIG and mechanic mates lol.

Blagging my way through teaching the students how to use the tyre machine was interesting lmao. Luckily one of my students worked part time at Kwik Fit, so I got him to quickly "refresh my memory" before the lesson began.

Mig web really does help expand your knowledge into cars through other people's experiences in cars and mechanics, and when you are stuck you can always ask for free super sdvice, including some real talented genius like Wayne and Allvaux offers some excellent councilling free of charge too.
You did very well, great thinking and now keep off those nasty things that nearly ruined your life like a druggy.
Our future lies in the past, we can learn from the past to forcast our future,

Blagging is great when it works, especially when they ask you a question about your blagging, and you further blag on that, before spiralling into a complex world of blagdom.
