I was watching 'This Morning' (this morning) and there was a councillor on there saying it had cost 10 million so far in legal fees alone. They had their lawyer on there, and the bloke was giving her loads saying they just appointed her whenever the council either said or did something against them.

How anyone can defend these actions has lost their mind. Usually the council have no qualms about bullying anyone else, but the fact they've taken this long to do anything (because they're fannies who might get sued/beaten up), but the gypsies are the worse of two evils (only slightly). I'd like to see them beat some pansy council members up and half of the baillifs, and THEN get evicted. God-damn desk jockeys.

They've won an injuction according to that.

The judge further told the council that the council should serve residents with a schedule, specifying what measure it would be carrying out on a plot by plot basis, by midday today (Tuesday). The residents would then be given until midday on Thursday to respond.

He told Candy Sheridan, vice-chair of the Gypsy Council of North Norfolk, resident Mary Sheridan, volunteer Stuart Carruthers, and the council’s barrister Reuben Taylor: ‘It is in nobody’s interests that we have a riot on this site.

"We dont want a riot on the site" being the reason by the looks of, so basically if you are a nasty bunch of bastards who refuse to comply with the law, providing you are going to REALLY kick up a fuss if that law is enforced then they'll give you some extra lee-way?

This really should be a point where a line is drawn in the sand IMHO and the law is just applied 100%, these people were NEVER under any illusion that what they were doing was legal, its not like this is an honest mistake, their intention right from day one was to break the law with these homes.

Yeah, what this says to people is "aslong long as you are prepared to be as intimidating as possible, and in mass numbers, then the laws of the land do not apply to you, and you can get away with pretty much whatever you want". When really the opppostie should be happening with them i.e. they are treated very heavy handedly with no tolerance as they couldn't be further from law abiding.

They are untouchable. They can drive around in vans with no license, no insurance, no MOT, no tax and they never get any repurcussions because they have no fixed abode, no name, no existance really. How can you take someone to court who technically doesn't exist.

I actually think the concete hand ones are quite funny, they are the one reason that I hope its a good couple of months before the eviction actually happens, I cant imagine its good for your health to be stuck like that, and I bet the traveller kids will start throwing stuff at them too, they wont care those numpties are trying to "help" them, they'll just pick on them anyway cause its funny lmao

Haha, how do those concrete block things actually work? I saw a few shots on the news. I take it they have their hands somehow chained inside the block, thereby making it very difficult to even get access to the chains to cut them loose?
