    Copyright law?

Can someone use a picture that I uploaded to facebook without my permission?
My profile was set to friends only (if it makes an difference)

Prob not. There's some fair use stuff though, if it's for educational or journalistic uses and is referenced. But I think it'd have to be in public domain for that. So no.

Unless you copyright your picture and can prove its your work then then most people can grab it and use it, big problem with public forums.

I vaguely remember that if you upload something to Facebook, its no longer your exclusive property - it might even become theirs to use as they want - it all depends on where you upload it to as to who owns the copyright.

    Re: Copyright law?

i have a thing here about copyright law (have to use it a lot due to photography) shall copy and put it up here, its a very grey area since the change in ownership of items on the internet at the start of this year but is a good thing to read up on.

Our happiness is not derived solely from schadenfreude and pathological misanthropy - 22% of people also listed 'meat'.
