    Blue Magic Quiksteel .

    Anyone used this ?
I want it to lock diffs on radio controlled cars .
Chemical metal only lasts a while then the teeth munch through it and becomes a slip diff again .
Apparently you can use it to permanently bond most stuff .
I canny invest in ya and for that reason , I'm oot .

Yes Quiksteel sets very hard and tough. It's a massive leap over chemical metal.

+1 for Quiksteel, I used it to repair a gear in a motor (moulding it against the opposing gear) and it worked perfectly. I couldn't believe how hard it set.

Don't think I did it right , as it didn't go hard enough , will try again .
Trouble with gloves is it might stick to them while doing it .

The stuff i had was in a roll. Two parts which you mix together in the right quantity's

It fixed a cracked cylinder head on my old KX125 (before i knew any better)

Latex gloves FTW. or it will stay on your fingers for weeks.

This is just one part and you pull some from a tube and keep moving it about with your fingers untill it gets hot , then put it on where you want .
I thought it would be 2 part too .

Proper Quiksteel is a tube with a grey outer and cream inner, mix the two parts together. Use gloves as it sticks to your hands but also the oils in your hands can reduce its sticking power and strength.

I've got a tube of it, I'm constantly thinking of ways I can use it ...

This is just a tube that's a grey and black colour , it says to mix until it's just grey and keep rubbing it until it gets warm , it should then get warm and go hard .

What RC car is it? Most of the time, Blu-tac is enough to lock a diff for drifting (just the rear), or Araldite, but some cars have optional diff lockers to replace the internal diff gears or balls/thrust races/plates.

I'm a bit into RC...I help run the MSUK-Forum lol.
Why chase BHP when you can just enjoy the drive?
