    Driving experience (Knockhill)

Any fellow scots here tried the driving experiences at Knockhill circuit? The reason im asking is because im going there in the next few weeks before my 6 month afghan tour to do either the single seater or Legends experience, i would like to hear opinions from people who've done these before, which one do you recommend? Which is faster the legends or the single seaters? Cheers

i did it 12 years ago - feel old now

anyhoos my experience was about 6 laps in an xr2i and then 3 in the single seater.

I much preferred the time in the xr2, the single seater was too small. I'm 6'2" and size 11 feet. I couldn't confidently brake cos the pedals were too close together and I was hitting 2 pedals at once. Whereas in the xr2 i was braking late and then chucking it into the corners.

Not sure if this is relevant to the current knockhill experience but that's my experience.

what are the legends? they'll have to be massively quick to be faster even than a bike powered single seater.

i did the rally experience at knockhill and won it. it was far better than the single seaters as you not allowed to overtake in them, my brother did them and got sent off for going too fast ffs!

I did the Ferrari day a couple of years ago.

You get 4-5 laps in the Seat Leon Cupra. The instructor takes you out for another 2 laps, one good one bad lap.

It was then 5 laps in the 360 which seemed well under powered and third gear was very hard to engage.

More of novelty of driving a Ferrari.

I believe you get more track time in the legends. You start off with heavily restricted versions and are only trusted with faster ones if you keep the slow ones on the track.

The slow ones looked painfully slow. The fast ones are really fast though. Seen guys do sub 1min in legends.

i done the rally experience as well but tbh i dont rate it and wouldnt do it again (slightly of topic)

however i would like a bash at the single seaters or legends so which ever you decide to do keep us posted as it may help others (like my self) decide which to go for
