Your home audio set up .

This place is boring ...... so ,

Post some pics of your home audio gear .

Had a excellent Pioneer set up that was over 1k , it kept blowing main fuse and was getting old so binned it .

Had this Sony set up for over a year now and thought today
" why is it sitting in the back room "

Have been listening to music through the telly on an HDMI cable .

The Sony is pretty good and has USB port and will play any format you will probably need .

So set it up in the front room today , it's very loud and very clear and has a built in fan to keep it cool .

It's a bit gimmiky with the flashing lights

I canny invest in ya and for that reason , I'm oot .

Sony STR-DB870 attached to a Popcorn Hour PCH-A100.

Speakers are just the surround satellites, with an active sub.

My mate worked in a guitar shop. A regular customer came in and said he had 'old' hifi stuff that was worth a bit. The bloke was loaded and probably had upgraded. He gave my mate all this stuff, worth over 6 grand!
I found some really old Sony separates in a skip 10 years ago, but it got binned.
I've been using PC mp3 thing with headphones for ages, but will invest in some old separates stuff when I get the new house sorted and get the vinyl out.

    Anyone else do this

You listen to music and gradually you get used to it and turn it up bit by bit ..... before you know it it's blaring out , you pause it and go out the room and think
" Christ , was it realy that loud "

Quite old Wharfedale 42" LCD, whitch I refuse to get rid of because the picture is awesome for what it is, no motion blur to speak of, incredably sharp and really deep colours, maybe we just got a "good un" It out performs some of my mates much newer and expensive branded items.

Other sources: Sky HD box and Nintendo Wii, we don`t do gaming and enjoy films.

I`ll see if an get any pics later.

Bose Wave radio/CD. Nothing else. Belting sound output from it considering the size of it.

Did have a budget end JVC home cinema system as well but it went pop and to be honest the speakers on the TV are good enough for me. I can't be arsed with speakers all over the place! Replaced the home cinema kit with a £15 Tesco Value DVD player - the only annoying thing is having the big "TESCO" splash screen on it when you switch it on!
