    Re: Pans...

I don't like 'non stick' pans, they are generally crap IMO and the fact you can only use them with wooden or plastic cooking utensils is pretty useless for me.

Sainsburys had some alright ones on sale recently at 50% off. Not sure if that is still the case?

I am not too sure on decent pans TBH as I don't know where mine came from although they are good. Saying that, make sure you get something that is suitable for your other gear. No point buying a pan that your steamer will not fit in (the plastic ones are crap) and avoid a square edged pan as it's pretty hard to toss things in them IMO so I personally prefer a pan with a big arse but little going on up top. I call them Scray_Fish pans... lmao

I made pancakes a while ago with a non-non-stick pan and it was a nightmare.

    Re: Pans...

I just gave a set of 7 pans (enamelled) away last wekend to someone who invited me for a house warming, and it was bought by me quite many years ago as a gift for someone who never got it in the end and it still had a price tag of £12.99, the 7 pieces consited of 2 frying pans, and various other sizes of stew pans, co0mplete with glass lids. (probably bought it way back in the 90s, obviously still packed in its original box. The guy and his wife didn't suspect it was bought years ago!
