New car and attempted stolen car??

I have converted the wife to owning a vauxhall....at last.

She picks up a 58 plate Astra 1.4 tomorrow so good bye to the pug of love mk2...which was nearly stolen lastnight, some arse bent the passenger door out at the top 4am this morning trying to get in.
The car is empty as its going to vauxhall today for exchange/scrapage so nothing on view, good old country living.

well pug dropped off, sad day as she was a work horse as dom has put, astra picked up tomorrow at 1pm, garage looked at my repair to the damaged window/door and offed me a job in the body shop...lol..not bad in my dressing gown.

to be honest mate its a nightmare, been sending email back and forward to council and police.
Police say...set up the camera up to get next door and street to help them which i have no problem with as it rural crime and the police round here are thin on the ground so all help is needed.
Council say....only film your garden or we can take you to court.

my reply to the council was....i will protect my garden and house as the car is just a lump of metal and insured, but if stolen and the criminals could not be filmed due to my camera was looking at my daffodils i shall be placing the daffodils some where in your head of staff's southerly orifice.

Reply was, 'thank you for your email, we can see no real problem with you helping the local police by recording criminal activity on your vicinity of your house if this also covers the cars out the front'
