ebay purchase not recieved, where do i stand

i bought a set of bike carbs off ebay 20/02/10 and paid for them immediately after winning via paypal.

had no contact with the seller so emailed him a week later to ask if they had been sent. he confirmed that he was sending them that weekend.

nearly 3 weeks after paying ive received nothing. i opened a case with ebay on sunday and as yet he hasnt responded.

i emailed him today and he has emailed back saying he sent them and wont refund me as he has a receipt from the post office proving that they were sent.

where do i stand??? will i get the money back off paypal or have i been truly shafted?

ask the bloke for a tracking number mate!

the seach it and that will tell you if they have been sent and if they have been signed for!

if he cant give a tracking number, paypal should be on your side and you should get your money back!

if i was you i find out if he which post office he sent them to and see if he has a tracing number as thay may be lost in the post but yes paypal shold give you your money back its happed to me before about 3 time i have lots over £200 over ebay

ive asked for it but i guess that as recorded or special delivery was not on the listing and he charged £10 hes gonna say its been sent as std parcel.

i honestly believe he was contacted by someone else and sold them outside of ebay for more than i won it for and thats why he aint sent them
