MK3oc does have a rep system and I've never seen any probs there.
Rep system is really just tongue in cheek and not really anything to be too

Check out the membership page and it'll tell you what you get for your £15

If you not happy with the discounts and think you know of companies that we would benefit from pm me their details and i will get on the job so to speak.
Please ensure all events queries are pm'd in my direction. Please be patient and i will get back to you very soon.

Reckon Mig looks better without all the crap other sites have. Clean and simple ftw.
I thought the membership was £50 for some reason , Couple of my mates had it and couldn't get discounts

"user-base as large as MIG" lmao lmao
doode, compared to some sites Mig is defo small sized,
take a look at "Rennlist/Pelican parts" they are huge sites, about 10 times the size of this one. Nothing slow about them.
You just don't get it. Bandwidth and server speed co$t$ money. The Internet is not free. If MIG ends up hosting banners and avatars then every time they are downloaded to someone it uses bandwidth. The overall bandwidth used effects everyone else, as the server has to serve the images and they have to squeeze down the pipe, and the bigger the pipe, the more it costs.

So running a web site is about getting the most efficient resources for the money you have to spend. And a decision has been made that if you pay for membership you can have a small avatar. You can also have a three line, text only signature. This keeps server loads down and bandwidth uncluttered. Which means a cheaper server/hosting option.

Like everything else in the world a better service costs more. Speed costs.

    Looked it up,

Maybe if i was more of a VX head, the below may interest me, and a lot of the things on the forum are really basic on a lot of sites.

Also As I'm not staying in the country much longer the astra is just being limped till it falls apart.

Anyway I just wanted an avata

    its good to chat

Re: why dont we have avatars?

    doode,
    I do geddit,
simple fact is there are other larger sites which has what I would consider basic features of a forum.

I answered that way because you stated that the reason was of the large user base on MIG, and its not that big all things considered, when you compare other sites which are far far larger, speed costs and better service costs fo-sure.

But a basic service is something entirly different.

ok, think of it like this

    fly a number of airlines.

All of them are roughly priced the same,
You'd expect them to as a basic:
Have seats, toilet, ability to carry baggage and refreshments.

Now do you pay to use the toilet, how much is baggage limited to without paying extra,
    are refreshments free.

Then consider, can you upgrade, fly buiness, get extra leg room baggage, louge, blah blah blah..

but the BASIC's of the flight and airline must be there.

    Anywho,
    all just food for thought
