rite i have just about had enough of car's and i am seriously thinking of calling it a day?

trouble is i don't no if i could sell my gsi plus i have brand new low-comp pistons bored out block etc for the rebuild of my gsi. just don't no if i can be bothered any more and have a van needing a new clutch now so all in i have no transport and work 60-70 miles from home lol

do i fix them both sell & buy sensible car? &have no more ness with engines
or do i bite the bullet and chav on?

thoughts please!

You will know when its time to jack it, I am lucky enough to be able to still have the old escort but I was very close to selling up. Get yourself a nice daily then keep the tinkering to one car

i hope i do know when its time! i bought my van as a daily and its not so daily now lmao thanks to the clutch, its so easy to say yes im going to chav on or quit sitting at the computer but its when you are stuck under the car or constantly battling problems or bleeding lol that you really no if its time and atm i don't really get much time to play with the car to decide

i am not divulging my arsenal of parts lol as i may well need them? as for kids i think i could handle them but as previously stated it would be the finances that would inevitably suffer

yeah i think that is the best thing to do, all tho i will still have to decide where to go with the gsi but hopefully it gives me enough time to decide

I know the feeling mate!! Like having to remove your g/box on a weekly basis (3 times) to try cure an oil leak, thats without scratching any of the paint, including the g/box itself. I was ready for scrapping the thing, but i "chav'd on"

Ive thought about this a few times, selling my nova/astra and buying something newer and bit more std, but deep down i know id regret it, and end up modifying it anyway.

I bought a mk4 astra van for work... yep a month later its on 17"s, lowered on eibachs, ive c/coded it, spoiler, backbox etc (but it was a cheap project, so most parts have been second hand/bargains)
My argument is its still completely useable, just looks nicer, and handles better
