agreed, i was expecting them to expire after a while though, hopefully they will do so.

i dont use the "new posts button" so havnt seen that before but have they been there long? it should have a expiring date set on it (usually a month iirc) but as im just a mod, not admin, i dont have access to the settings of anouncments or the ability to edit/delete them.
