I think there is mate. I felt sick this morning and a lad at work says his missus is suffering badly like you are.

I am just recovering. Sickness, dia-horraz, coughing, sneezing, temp, you name it! At least 4 have been similar at my place of work, and a few mates say the same. Most have only taken a few days max, but I know of one who was off a fortnight.

Not that I know of! IOnly thing that made me feel any better was some 600mg Ibuprofen and a couple of paracetomol. Mind you, even that just seemed to dull it, and stop my chest being so inflamed. Also, I don't take medication unless I really have to, so wouldn't have tried owt else anyway!

    Re: bugs/sickness

Everyone I know who recovered in a couple of days has just used painkillers, or paracetamol based powders. I reckon it probably has something to do with the indecisive weather conditions, lol

    Re: bugs/sickness

There's not a great deal you can do about avoiding colds apart from obviously trying to stay in good health and take your Vitamin C to try and keep your defences up. If you catch one I find that as mentioned paracetamol and or Ibuprofen makes you feel a little less miserable. Day and Night Nurse have been well recommended by my friends too. Always read the label lol. Oh and dodge dairy as it just adds to your snotters

As for vomiting and diarrhoea, to try and avoid catching this being very careful to wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly after going to the toilet...and switch the tap off with a paper towel not your hands or you're getting your hands dirty all over again! Also worth trying not to touch the door handle on way out of toilets as lots of people either wash their hands ineffectively or not at all so the door handles are probably more manky than the toilet seats!

If you get it it usually lasts for 24 -72 hours max and is self limiting. Major rehydration is what will be needed as soon as you can bear to drink anything again. Not fun, and if you want to spare your loved ones from catching it from you make sure the toilet is cleaned after you've violated it with your vom / butt runs.
