Help! my Kettle is broke down and won't start, any ideas where to start looking from? It was all right yesterday, but this morning when I went to start it, nothing happened!!

Clean the ICV, if that doesn't work then it could be a dodgy CTS.

Have you checked the onboard display for any fault codes? I believe if you use a paperclip and insert in the locating pins of the mains connector you can achieve a rather large bang which does away with the need for any further fault code finding.

Does this model of kettle have the Coscast lid for added performance?
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.

Plasticast heads are good for sub 3 minute boil times if you use a cometic gasket

Both the lid and deck must be flat or you'll get boil off with a cometic gasket, better of with a standard one for 1000W.

is it available with a red insert? We all know a redtop version will be quicker................... although a porous head isn't really desirable on a kettle

Guys thank you for suggesting all the remidies, I shall have a go at it tomorrow, and see if it will start, if not What other options I have , was thinking I might transplant a 3KW element , will that fit with the same mounting or do I need different mount? do I also need the loom from the 3KW donor kettle or will the loom of my 2KW do the job.!!!

Dude, for all the hassle of transplants, just sell what you have and buy a more powerful kettle.
