| Chicken Head Tracking Haven't noticed this before. Chickens keep their head totally stable while the rest of their body moves! Really interesting! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_dPlkFPowCc
Funny when the chicken goes mental at the end as well!

| Re: Chicken Head Tracking That is flipin amazing! why can't scientists spend a Billion Dollars and study the mechanism behind this and use it for the benefit of mankind, implement such mechanism in cars and trucks, we could all ride a staedy ride!! Brilliant i loved it.
imagine other uses for such technology...mid air refuelling for fighter jets!!
just as I was eating my ready made Chicken Dinner from tescos!!!

| Re: Chicken Head Tracking Well guys, I have already come up with a usefull purpose for this unique property among chickens, i shall be going to the patients agents tomorrow and file for a patient, I am devicing an aid using an actual chicken being carried by press photographers to aid in taking steady shots, with a bit of luck i shall be making mega bucks and supply high quality chickens to BBC and ITV film crews.
The idea is still on the drawing board, but you may all have guessed, the camera lense will be mounted on the chickens head and the bulk of the camera mechanism and batteries will be carried by the BBC crew. I am a little stuk, I am not sure how I am going to handle the chicken droppings, so any ideas please let them flow. |

| Re: Chicken Head Tracking As rediculous as your idea actually is I would be very happy to see an end to the wobbly camerawork in most films these days. It seems to have all stated with Blair Witch Project (rancid pish btw) but most action films now are like this. Bourne and the new Bond being the worst examples. |

| Re: Chicken Head Tracking Also, I have a chicken that disproves this theory. It has had a rough lobotomy performed on it by the other chickens. One day I found it with a big hole pecked in the back of its head. I assumed it would die, but it healed up and despite the sunken hole half-way into its brain its still going strong. It falls over a lot and keeps bending is head right back till its upside down, then falls over again. |

I remember watching them on Tomorrows World nearly 25 years ago http://www.codydeegan.com/ |

| Re: Chicken Head Tracking I already got a camera that is suppose to give shake free pics, by Panasonic, but is pretty useless to be honest, not as good as the chicken head. The camera uses gyros of some kind, and processors to stabilise the image. |
