| insurance companys [Rant]
Them ****ing disgusting wankers, did an insurance quote on a car i would like and it came up for me as £944, did a quote as a woman with exactly the same details and same car and it was over £300 cheaper for a woman, i know women get it cheaper but i am ****ing disgusted at that, is this to do with men being more likely to cause accidents (when facts show woman have less spacial awareness, and going by my mothers driving, no spacial awareness at all!) and the majority of women are less confident on the roads than men (if i see another female nissan micra driver doing 30-40 mph down 60-70 roads looking petrified and rigid I'll scare them off the road for ****ing good!) how can this constitute them making us men who are hmmmmm more confident on the roads (usually) paying up to and over £300 more, what we need (if it hasn't been done) is an insurance company just for men who are new to the roads and have a small budget for insurance as c'mon how many lads new to the roads can afford to pay up to £1G or more for a 1 litre or 1.2 car, guess i was lucky to get my insurance for £766, but if i had boobs and a front bum i could have possibly paid £466, i am ****ing pissed off with that, knew the fairer sex paid less but never expected that .

There are exceptions like under 40mh on motorways, but on open roads, people should drive at the speed they feel comfortable at. If you cant handle someone else going slow, its YOUR driving skills that need improved.
Im sure its a very frustrating situation for you, but this thread just makes you sound like an immature wee thug. No wonder your insurance is high. |

No wonder your insurance is high. | my driving skills are fine, passed first time but once again this is about the difference between the prices for men and women not how i drive, once again point missed, and you cant say you have sat behind some one doing 30 on a 60 road and get annoyed by it, but alas this is again away from the point Quote:

Avoid claims, then after a couple of years you can get a faster car and overtake the slow people safely

| Re: insurance companys Im not going off topic, im addressing points you raised.
Anyway, if you want to know why women pay less, its because when a woman has an accident its generally a bump in a carpark due to not paying attention, or rear-ending someone at the lights etc. Womens accidents are usually at lower speed and cause less damage, so the claims are smaller.
When a male crashes, he does all these things, plus is also just as likey to bin it into someones livingroom at 90mph. Male accidents are normally higher speeds, on the open road and the resulting claim is usually much more expensive. Plus, males are much ore likely to be doing stupid things like racing their mates ar scaring women in micras who are going slowly, so they are more likely to have a crash.
Thats how insurance works, its just a bet basically. a prediction basd on statistics, and the numbers are against males. There is no sexism involved, just mathematics.
People often get their pants twisted about women having cheaper premiums..."its sexist blah blah bah", but the elderly have cheap insurance too. Again, they are more likely to have small shunts around town than spectacular (and expensive) crashes. Yet, nobody greets on about this being "ageist". |

| Re: insurance companys my insurance for my nova wasn't too bad at £766 (people who have more experience and plenty NCB would probably get it for a couple of hundred tops) hopefully next year il have a 1.6 16 valve in it if its cheap enough to insure. |

My question at the time is if insurance companies can be sexist and ageist over premiums, how come race never comes in to it? There's bound to be statisics out there somewhere saying asians are most likely to crash than whites, whites are more likely to cost more in payouts, americans are less likely to crash than minority b etc. Why doesn't this come in to play during renewal time? Oh yeah, that would be racist |
