so please assume that the car will not be a high performance car
| wtf....... so it could be that slug they use for the 'celebrities'?
a late night taxi ride, driven by a foreigner in a Skoda Superb will be more exhilarating.

| Re: Top Gear Lap with The Stig if i had 12 grand even though this is for a good cause, i would spend it wisely, like modifying my nova and buying something useful, a safe garage to keep it in maybe. |

| Re: Top Gear Lap with The Stig love the way all they say is "a lap round the track with the stig" in what exactly? does it mean you could go for a sensible drive round the track in a fiat panda? with someone you "think" is the stig. sounds a bit shady to me.

| Re: Top Gear Lap with The Stig 12k for something that you will never know if you got the real deal? I thought we were in a credit crunch
Should see the other crap that is on sale, 21k for Daniel Craigs old watch, it says on the listing the watch costs 6k new. A 15k hike just because some poxy celebrity has worn it?
PFFFT.

there isnt just 1 stig though is there? i heard it was 3 or 4 depending on what they're doing. i.e star in a resonably priced car is 1, lap time stig is another, stunt and challenges stig is another.
if it is a f3000 driver it would make sence to have atleast 1 backup stig because of race/ filming schedueling

| Re: Top Gear Lap with The Stig there are quite a few "stigs" as some of the manufacters will only let their own test drivers drive their cars. |

| Re: Top Gear Lap with The Stig These Children in Needs "stuff money cant buy" auctions can piss right off as far as I am concerned. yeah, yeah good cause blah blah blah, but its just an excuse for people with more money than taste to show exactly how rich they are to everyone else. Paying significantly over the odds for any of these auction is just rubbing the normal populations faces in the dirt.
If these people are concerned enough to make such large donations to charity, they should have the discretion to do it quietly, not as some kind of attention-grabbing stunt.
