changing job and need some advice

dont no if anyone can help but im after a bit of advice

i have handed my notice in at work as i have found a better job and the job im at want me to work my full notice. this is not a problem apart from i have about two weeks owed to me. problem is it is not holiday time but time owed from where when i should have had a day off i worked. they are sayin that i will probably lose this time and not get paid for it. i ve stil got three weeks of my notice left and was wondering if i was in my right to just tell them im taking my days and finishing my notice less this time or if i work my notice they legally have to pay m for this time. i dont want to jepodise the money im owed for the month im working.

any info on this would be a great help.

TOIL (Time Off In Lieu, spelling) dosent tend to be contractually covered... its more an arrangement you have with your boss/supervisor. I believe they dont have to pay you for it if its not an official company policy to have TOIL.

If its annual leave you gave up to go in then YES its yours and you should get it back.
