In my experience, most people under estimate what a change jar will hold.
My mate had a large BELLS whiskey bottle about 2/3rds full. He reckoned about £19/20. I said more like £50! He wasnt having any of it until he came back from changing it up with a sixty quid grin on his face....
what was in it though? copper, silver, squids or a mix of all
