****ing stupid rule we have here whereby any newly passed driver must display an R plate for one year, and isn't allowed to exceed 45mph.
You just try doing 45 on the likes of our Westlink / motorway and see how you get on
Stupid, outdated rule that causes more problems than it solves, as well as meaning new drivers don't gain experience of driving at higher speeds.
Very rare you ever see an R driver sticking to that speed limit, and with good reason. I've seen even the cops not batting an eyelid when an R plated car sails past at them at >45. |

tell me bout it!! not going near the motorway till im off the R's, not that I ever stick to 45 anyways!! do they not have it in england or anything? |
