| Re: Britains Population Yes, by 2060, Europe's population is predicted to be 506M (up 11M), but the UK will be 77M (up 16M). Europe's figures. And this on the day our Gov. say the tide of immigration form Europe (remember they assured us it would be a few thousand a year at worst!) is subsiding.
It's nuts - the country isn't big enough - half the current problems, traffic, strain on public services, our Carbon output (if you believe that climate rubbish) etc. are down to overcrowding.
Will the Gov. do anything - will they @~£* !
.......And breathe. |

Not a real suprise considering immigration and how easy the government make it for people to have kids these days. |

| Re: Britains Population Went to a local agricultural show recently and as I was walking past a stand some bloke said "want a newspaper?". I just grabbed it without thinking. 2 minutes later I looked at it and it was from the BNP . Although blatantly racist, the rather basic party focus and aims leaflet that was with it made a lot of sense on some points. I'll scan and post it up later on imageshack. Some points were bollocks and could or should never be inforced. |

My auntie has just had her life saved by the NHS performing countless operations on her to remove cancer, all operations she could NOT have funded any other way, she'd be dead now if it wasnt for the NHS, literally. |

And my mum died precisely because the NHS wasn't up to the job. She also had cancer.
Two sides to every story buddy.

| Re: Britains Population One thing that I do find 'humourous' is that this government bend over backwards to ladle on all manner of benefits for people with kids, which sounds nice, but by giving out all these benefits, only serves to exacerbate the population problems. In 40 or so years, we'll be like China, giving benefits to those that DON'T have kids, and restricting couples to only one child. |

At the moment, Im made to bend over and pay becuase I dont have any kids.
nothing under this government incourages people to be responsible when bringing kids into the world. In fact, the more stupid you are the more you get from them. |

| Re: Britains Population Yup, have 8 kids, don't work, and don't get encouragement to work, sponge instead! This country is fecked up!
I have to pay rent on my house, rent on my unit, business rates on my unit, road tax, traders policy, fuel, food, council tax, and I have to pay someone to help me at the unit..... I do wonder why I bother though, as most of my rates and coucil tax goes towards people that have no intention of working hard.
Perhaps they are more intelligent than me after all! |

| Re: Britains Population boils my piss mate. I've seen a woman here (at work that is) get preganant, no relationship with the father but decide shes always wanted a child and becuase there are so many hand outs she can afford to keep it!! 4 years on the kid is a right little ****, so by all counts we could be paying for the next generation of louts.
Another woman went on maternity leave, came back to work 6 months later and then 3 moths after that she decided to leave becuase having the job was cutting back on her Family Tax Credits so much, it was actually costing her money to work here!! I dont blame her, she had a straight choice between working and paying for nursery etc or giving up work, increasing income with no nursery fees! What a joke! |
