The "union" here are "fighting" for an extra 0.7% on the pay offer... They are banging on about non union members needing to join blah blah. That 0.7% extra, after tax/ni/sl is LESS than the union dues.

Common Sense 1 - Union FAIL

The thing is its happened year on year. £45.20 every year for 4 years = a figure you start taking notice of.
So what do you think we all do then, take what is effectively a pay cut each year until we are forced to quit? Public sector wages are getting close to what the monkeys get in factories or stacking shelves in tescos. Do you what that calibre of person teaching your kids (as that what alot of teaching assistants do), or handling/processing your personal details etc?

It's either that or they just make you redundant.

The fact of the matter is that the public sector finances will only be able to support a small proportion of the public sector workforce in future.

Yes all teachers are work shy muppets mate that's why they study for years then work under constant scrutiny by goverment t0ssers (offsted) who 9 times out of 10 are failed teachers etc or worse have absolutly no experience in teaching. They work well into the night and most of the weekend but get no extra money and are considered lazy ar5e scum by narrow minded but smart mouthed monkeys like you son. All the evils of the country are of course down to them not teaching correctly.

Unfortunately that didn't work either as unemployment figures posted today show it to be at it's highest since 1992!
As mentioned by someone else. Teaching assistants are just a cheap option for the goverment sort of like the CSO's or "Toy bobbies"....nice people but not teachers all the same. I'm sure when you need life saving surgery you'll be over the moon at the "YTS" doctor you get on half the money with next to no training. But rest assured he's watched a video on Youtube about open heart surgery so "You'll be fine mate"

They aint made up jobs to get folk off the benifits they are to fill the jobs of skilled professionals at half the cost.

Shame their pride doesnt run to having their own ****ing money as well!
Having had a rather unpleasent spell out of work I obtained 150 rejection letters in two months. I couldn't get a job washing cars or driving etc etc. I didn't and still don't care what I do. Alas as my name does NOT end in "ski" or "ov" and I do have a british passport I was turned away from ALL employment agencies as I'm from the wrong side of europe. lmao Sorry to burst your bubble but British people in some areas of employment are simply not wanted.

Sorry mate. But I know my fuel has gone up from about 78p a litre to £1.33ish in about 3 or 4 years. My energy bills from about £40 a month to £110 food etc etc etc. People are and do struggle to make ends meet. I find it amazing that some of you think this kind of price hike is "fine" you lot must be on superstar wages or summat! I'd be thrilled if my wages had gone up by that much...

Mmm that's my little rant over for now I think....lmao

Technically, I'm right, we still do have a private sector.

I didn't say it was growing or healthy but we still do have one.

The girlfriend is a teacher, and her day starts from 7.30am and finishes about 8.30pm if shes lucky. Sometimes its nearer 10pm.

She usually has to do marking and making resources all day Saturday, and if shes lucky she might have Sunday free.

I used to be of the opinion that teachers have it easy, reasonable pay and weeks off every so often and 6 weeks in the summer............but alas that was shattered the first week of her NQT year.....

lets look at things like this. the uk is fooked big time. its on the slide and i doubt if we will recover for years to come so we should all just do as all the other people who come over here from fooked eu countries, just move to another eu country, sponge off their welfare, bleed them dry then when we've saved up a bit of cash, move on!

You can't sponge of another EU states welfare system.

That's why we have Poles living is mini shanty-towns. There is no benefit or welfare support for them if they can't get work.
