Well, the BoE made a prediction in May last year which turned out thus.

Not only was the prediction way off the centre prediction but it was off the damn fan!

Re: House prices, economy, outlook 2008

One of the main problems with the UK is how soft it is when dishing out benifits.

My next door neighbour has nothing wrong with him. He cuts grass, wash's his car, cleans the house with no problem. When he go's to pick up the kids he puts on his "fake sore back". He's living in a 180k house, paid for by the goverment, last month he got in PVC windows, paid by the goverment, he get's 2 free 500 litre oil fill's a year. He has a 2006 vectra CDTI, and the wife has a VW polo. His wife works 16 hours a week in a shirt factory.

Now tell me how that's fair? He should either be fecking working, or laying in a cardboard box down some dark alley, scumbag's like him make my blood boil!!! And its all the goverments fault!!

Keith

A lass i know lives in the 3rd most expensive place in Teesside, she goes out clubbing far more than i do, she has a nearly new corsa, etc, and she only does 16hours pw in tescos. But she is a single mum so obviously she deserves the free ride

With a govt. who reward wendy wide legs (not that this particular lass is) and single parents* its little wonder alot of lasses leave school and go out to purposely get themselves pregnent

* Im not saying all single parents are bad but if it wasnt rewarded so much im sure there would be a hell of alot less of them

I need to video the F7cker cutting his grass, lifting his huge lawn mower down the steps, cleaning the windows up a ladder etc.

I work in insurance, and he rang for a quote once and said he was a baggage handler for an airport. Even tho he doesn't work!!!

Grrrrr

Re: House prices, economy, outlook 2008

TBH im not overly fussed. If you dont play the system the system will play you. If i could do something about everyone who is claiming/getting a free ride then yeah i would be fussed, but i cant so i dont see what differance grassing one person up would make. Even if everyone grassed up everyone else the govt. would only find a way to waste the money on something else. When you consider they have just spent many many times more money on 2 countries i couldnt give a flying feck about than on building schools in the last 50 years the money spent on free loaders seems insignificant.

Yep, yet another thing our govt. have fecked up on. The majority of the "breeders" in this country are the scum who have never payed into the system. These people are breeding another generation of wasters who will also only take from the system.

While this goes on the hard working folk are stretched too far and work so much that most end up only having 1 or 2 kids late on in life.

So the scum have around a 300% population increase while the hard working are in decline at only at 75%*

*just made up figures but i doubt ill be that far off.

Similar situation with the economy and other similarities to the UK like having the worst education provision in the developed world so there will be nobody bright enough to support the economy in future.

Re: House prices, economy, outlook 2008

I think that is was going to happen that there would be a low in the economy. It happens every 10-20 years anyway, it sort of natural selection in economics as we are spending to much pushing up prices and then there must be a breaking point where things get to much and then prices naturally ahve to start to fall.

There is on the other ahnd the whole world food crisis which we have created ourselves as a race. In the UK the amount of imports that are now food is amazing and look at all the land that we have. I remember when you could only get strawberries in the summer, thats a major problem with society the "I want it now and can;t wait" if we could move away from this then this would make improvements.

Astonishing, but good news there then. Anything to bring the property market crashing down is good IMHO

Many have probably become desensitised to it but this country appears to be covered in an inch-thick layer of s**t.

I can walk anywhere in town and if I turn through 360degrees I don't think there's even one second of arc that I cannot see a piece of litter on the ground.

Contrast that with pretty much any developed nation in the world.

Would it not just be easier to tax everyone 100% of their income, instead of bringing in all these sneaky taxes?
