    Re: show us your bike

Here is my collection of bikes:

My Specialized Rickhopper. This is the one I use for cross country.

My GT Hans Rey Limited Edition. This was initially builts as a trails/tricks bike, but I didn' use it much, so turned it into a cross country bike for my other half (5'1" tall) to use.

This is my top end GT Zaskar from 1993. All top end components on it from the mid '90s. Cost me over £2000 at the time. I recently rebuilt this after it was repainted.

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

I just dug out a 15 year old Dawes. Stamped as British built too.

Hardtail, solid front forks. Just put some Conti Travel Contact tyres on to get around the streets on. Needs more work on it's Shimano Altus selectros which have f**ked ratchets.

Completely forgot to take a bloody picture.

Ah yes Jamie Bestwick. Must get a shot of my BMX. I've still got it although not really ridden it for 11 years. Proper Old School 90's BMX.

    Got a pic:

Dawes with 26" wheels. Alleged to be one of the last made at Tyseley.

Got the new Conti's on but it still needs work.

Get a new lock too, they are easy to open and break.

Aye it's juts an old steel chain.

I was looking at Kryptonite chain locks with my own spec of padlock.

That likely to be any good?

I'd imagine it would be at 3.5-5kg depending on length

How about the slightly lighter Kryptochain? It's 8mm vs the 10mm New York - ever seen this chain to comment?

I think the Kryptochain's padlock looks sub-standard but that's not an issue as I have a preponderance of quality padlocks here to choose from.

Well my Sister dropped off her bike yesterday to be stripped and painted .
I'm going to do it Candy Blue , never tried a colour like this before .
I was told to spray the special blue onto silver .

This is her bike the other day :

Nice work. I remember as a kid trying to repaint a chrome BMX frame. We did zero preparation to the surface, and after the "paint job" the paint just washed off with a hose lol.

lmao Raleigh Burners were so cool back in the day , very common but still cool .
Remember having a couple of chrome BMX's , one was an Amacco other was a Mongoose .

Painting chrome and then washing it off with a hose - priceless

Well waited a couple of days for the paint and laquer to harden . I used proper ' bike ink '
So put it back together :

Can't capture the glow of the paint . Also in the sun you can see the glitter .
