dont think its much mate its only 2 angled bits and 2 flat ones. iirc
In most cases you have to pay off the council and have council engineers in to do the drop-kerb.
Doing it w/o council permit / engineers means paying a fine + the cost of putting it back the way it was. (Techinically it's their property).
This is probably specific to our area but when we had a drop-kerb extension and resurface done this year, it cost us an arse-watering £3,000.
An ex work mate had this done by the council to get access for her drive. She was expecting a big bill but they didn't charge her a penny.
Because she needed access to her driver the council provided it without charge. Maybe it's different council policy though. If you have a driveway the council need to give access![]()
we just had a lil tar poured in front of kerb to lessen angle
like lethal says otherwise though.
Wanted: C20LET that works in my mk3 GSI shell.
i had mine done 6 months ago on my old property before i moved -council charged me £500.
actual cost to drop the kerb is a few quid but as said above, main cost is incurred by thge council (planning permission, public liability insurance etc etc) and you can only get it dropped by a council approved/appointed tradesperson![]()
I smile because I don't know what's going on.
Had mine done few yrs back, £75 to the council for the guy to come out and inspect said company doing it, he never did tho,but if u dont pay it, they can come out and tell u to put it back to how it was yada yada so worth the £75 for that sake, found some guys to do it, there own company, £400
so £475 i had a good drop kerb, the depth was good as well etc,no bodge job.
some companys wanted £900 + to do it.
Glory Glory Man Utd..........The Red Devil is Gaining Strength.............
My father had his done not long back, Was about £275 through the council.
The prices for this vary greatly reading this thread. Wonder if any are on bus routes? Councils seem to like off street parking in these areas.
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive, anyway.
i heard its about £500 in my area was hoping a bit cheaper i live on a fairly quite estate no busy through roads but its one of those designs of designated parking areas per house for 1 car and everyone has 2 cars at least i have 2 and works van so want to dig front garden up and block pave an area
